Spring Choreography Workshop

Mentored by renowned choreography professor Fred Mathews, students will learn choreographic skills and create their own work, to be shown in a culminating in-house showing. Fred Matthews is on the Dance Program Faculty at San Jose State University, where he has taught choreography for over twenty-five years. A former member of the José Limon Dance Company, he is known for his mentoring of young choreographers, and has inspired a new generation of Silicon Valley artists. For experienced dancers ages 14-22, including NBS students in levels 5A and up. Students from other schools welcome.

Dates: Saturdays, March 11-May 6, with a culminating showing on May 27. (No classes on April 15, April 29 and May 13) Time: 4:00-6:00pm
