Rachel began dancing at age 7 at Pacific Ballet Academy in Mountain View. She continued her training at schools including American Ballet Theatre, The Joffrey Ballet School in New York, San Jose Ballet/Silicon Valley Ballet, The Joffrey Academy in Chicago, and the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Russia. At age 17 she moved to New York City and began her pre-professional training at the Joffrey Ballet School as a trainee. In New York, she received classes in several styles of dance including: modern, contemporary, character, musical theatre, composition, improv techniques, Cunningham, and Gaga. Her repertoire includes works by many top choreographers including Wayne McGregor, William Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Gerald Arpino, George Balanchine, August Bournonville, Sidra Bell, Earl Mosley, Josie Walsh, and Christian Denice. She has also performed in several classical ballets including Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Cinderella, La Vivandiere, La Bayadere, Viva Vivaldi, Birthday Variaitions, and Les Sylphides. Rachel has recently worked as a guest artist with Alameda Civic Ballet, Western Ballet, Santa Clara Ballet, and Earl Mosely’s Diversity of Dance.
